Engineering plastics mainly include Polycarbonate (PC), Polyamide (PA), polyacetylene (POM), Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO), polyester (PET, PBT), Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), polyaryl ester and so on. Compared with metal materials, engineering plastics have low hardness and strength, which makes them feel better to be processed. However, there are many problems in engineering plastics, such as deformation of plastic parts caused by local overheating, many problems of deformation and discoloration, and excessive cutting force or clamping force during cutting, which will also cause large elastic deformation and affect the machining accuracy of plastic parts. The cold cutting of waterjet knife can effectively solve these problems.
